This is my 21st year at River Woods and my 26th year of teaching. I graduated with my associates degree from Lake Land College, bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, and master’s degree from Saint Xavier University. My favorite part about teaching is that no two days are ever the same, and the diverse range of personalities in the room keeps things entertaining. My free time is spent with my 5 year old son, Samuel, playing sports and being outdoors. I also enjoy working out, playing basketball, and going to St. Louis Cardinals games.

This is my 12th year teaching at River Woods, and fifth year teaching third grade. I grew up in Naperville, and I’m actually a River Woods alumnus! In addition to a Master’s in teaching, I also have a Bachelor's degree in theatre. I try to bring that love of performance arts into my classroom. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and cats, reading, and playing my flute.

This is my 7th year teaching at River Woods in 3rd grade and my 15th year teaching in the district. I received my elementary teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University and my master’s degree from National Louis. I have three children that had attended schools in the district. My son will be a sophomore and one of my daughters a senior at Naperville North. My oldest daughter will be in her second year of college. In my free time, I enjoy doing small projects in my home, working in my yard, playing with our two dogs, and spending time traveling with my family.

I have 20 years of Bilingual Inclusion, Dual Language and ELL-Resource classroom experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse families and students. I come from a big Colombian family of educators that is scattered throughout the world. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, walking in nature, meditating, and spending time with loved ones. Thank you for sharing your little one with me! I look forward to working collaboratively with you to develop in your little one an intrinsic love of learning, making friends, and having fun!
