This will be my 6th year teaching, but my first year at River Woods! I received my bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and my master’s degree from National Louis University. Bilingual education is my passion, and I love helping students grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of learning in two languages. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me adventuring with my fiancé and our lovable golden retriever.

This will be my 12th year teaching at River Woods and my 16th year of teaching overall.  I taught fourth grade for five years before moving to second grade. I grew up in Naperville and went to school in District 204. As a teacher, I love seeing the “lightbulb” moments when students understand a new concept! I also love creating our classroom community each year. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, working out, and spending time with my daughter and my husband.

This is my sixth year teaching 2nd grade at River Woods. I have been married to my husband, Aaron, for 22 years and we have two sons that also attend school in District 203. I am excited to get back in the classroom to form relationships with my students and watch their brains grow. When I'm not teaching, I am happily driving or watching my boys in whatever extra curricular activity is happening, reading, playing board games with my family, or having random dance parties in our kitchen!

I’m a Naperville native who’s spent the past 10 years teaching grades K–3. I completed my undergrad at Illinois State and my master’s from the University of St. Francis. When I’m not in the classroom, I love shopping, golfing and spending time with my friends and family!
