Blood Drive
This committee helps with registration, serving snacks and monitoring donors during a blood drive in the fall and the spring.SFCP/ Coffees with Principal/P2P
This committee coordinates parent panel discussions as well as informal discussions with parents and principal for an informal discussion of school-related topics. The location is the NNHS Learning Commons.Dance
This committee works with the Student Activities Director, student organization and staff sponsor to decorate and provide refreshments for the dance. The committee also does a check-in/check-out of the students during dances and a coat check for any items brought by the students to the dance.Directory Spot
The Directory Chair works with the administrative staff to create and maintain the online Naperville North Directory using the DirectorySpot software.EKG Screening
This committee assists with EKG screenings of students at Naperville North. This event takes place every two years and is responsible for helping to recruit 120 volunteers to assist Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) in a full day of screening EKG exams for the entire student body. The committee also helps with communication, set-up and providing lunch and refreshments for the volunteers.Family Connection
This committee strives to meet the essential needs of NNHS families facing hardship by providing temporary means of support. Volunteers are needed in a non-traditional role and help by joining our Holiday and Senior Campaign email distribution lists.Fundraising
The Fundraising Chair will organize and implement various fundraisers throughout the year to help support & promote Home & School. These may include, but not limited to, dining night outs, Raise Right, raffles, graduation parking , etc.Mailings
This committee helps prepare student registration packets in June & July and as needed during the school year.Nominations
The Nominations Chair is responsible for filling the Executive Board and all Chair positions.School Store
This committee coordinates and staffs the school store which sells school supplies, spirit wear and other fun NNHS items before school and during the three lunch periods. This committee works directly with the student activities office and coordinates with the spirit wear chairs for the booster club.Senior Celebration
Senior Celebration is a parent-run, mega-party, lock-in extravaganza for the graduating class of seniors. This yearly “must-see” tradition began in 1993 by a Naperville North parent as a gift to the graduates. As is with gift-giving tradition, details of the party are kept a secret from students, except for the party theme, which is determined by the graduating class during the spring of their junior year. The party is held on a Saturday evening in April. Co-chair commitment is from May through the following May.Senior Sunrise (breakfast)
The head of Senior Sunrise is in charge of providing drinks and breakfast snacks to seniors the morning of the first day of school to celebrate their “last” first day of high school.Staff Appreciation
This committee works to celebrate our staff throughout the year through special breakfasts, snacks, etc to recognize groups of our staff.Student Registration
This committee coordinates about 250 parent and student volunteers required for the registration process. The Chairs recruit and schedule volunteers, supervise the stations to keep the lines moving, answer volunteer questions, and organize lunch breaks for full day volunteers. Registration is held over several days in early August.Staff Breakfast
This committee helps serve and clean up catered breakfast for teachers on Thursday mornings of Fall and Spring conferences.Tours
This committee coordinates volunteers to offer personalized tours to prospective Huskie families. Tours are only offered when school is open during the school year. Our tour guides usher parents and/or students around the school sharing information about classes, clubs, tutoring, student life and more.Vision & Hearing Screenings
This committee supports the NNHS health tech with the Vision and Hearing Screening process. Activities include checking students in, ushering them through the testing, stamping passes to return to class and assisting with related paperwork.203 Connections Transition Services Liaison
The H&S liaison will work with Connections to help plan events for students and staff, support staff appreciation, and help build a volunteer base.
